Qiblah: Adhan & Prayer Times — Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the app Qiblah: Adhan & Prayer Times (package name com.nomadisop.adhan, the “App”) handles information. The App is published by NOMAD TECH Workshops (MSME No. MH-28-0041836), operating as Nomad Softwares (“we”, “us”).

We do not collect personal information. The App has no accounts or sign-in, and it does not send your data to our servers. We do not have servers for the App. The App contains no advertising, analytics or tracking software.

With your permission, the App uses your device’s location (precise or approximate, as you choose) to calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction for where you are. These calculations happen entirely on your device. The App uses your location only while you have it open. It does not track your location in the background and does not keep a history of where you have been.

To show the name of your city, the App asks your device’s built-in geocoding service to convert your coordinates into a place name. On Android this service is provided by your device (usually by Google through Google Play services); on iPhone it is provided by Apple. That request is handled under their policies: Google Privacy Policy, Apple Privacy Policy. We never receive your location.

If you deny location permission, the App cannot calculate prayer times. You can change this at any time in your device settings.

The Qibla compass reads your device’s motion and magnetic sensors to show which way your phone is facing. This sensor data is used on your device only while the App is open, and it is never stored or shared.

Adhan alerts are scheduled on your device using its local notification system. They are not sent from a server, and the App does not register your device with any push notification service.

Your settings (calculation method, Asr preference and any minute adjustments to prayer times) are stored only on your device. If you have turned on Android device backup, Android may include these settings in your Google account backup so they can be restored on a new device; this is controlled by your device settings and Google’s policies.

• Location (precise and approximate) — to calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction, as described in section 3.
• Notifications — to alert you at each prayer time.
• Alarms & reminders (exact alarms) — so Adhan alerts arrive at the exact prayer time.
• Run at startup — to restore your scheduled Adhan alerts after your phone restarts.
• Vibration and wake lock — to deliver alerts with vibration while your phone is asleep.
• Internet and network state — used by your device’s geocoding service to look up your city name.

The App does not access your contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with anyone, because we do not collect it. The geocoding service described in section 3 is provided by your device’s operating system under its own policy.

Your settings stay on your device until you delete them. You can delete all of the App’s data by clearing the App’s storage in your device settings or by uninstalling the App. You can withdraw location or notification permission at any time in your device settings.

The App is intended for a general audience. It does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Because your data stays on your device, it is protected by your device’s own security. We have no servers that store your information.

We may update this policy when the App changes. The “Last updated” date above shows the latest version; significant changes will also be noted in the App’s release notes on Google Play.
